We make the architectural pilgrimage to the Colosseum and discover the foundations of great design. Students learn from lectures at leading local universities as well as learn the meaning of ‘All roads lead to Rome’ as they interact with city planners in this famous city. Other cities such as Venice, Milan, and Florence also provide a platform of experiencing with interesting historical wonders. This study trip provides a window for students to learn about concepts that informed unique buildings such as St. Peters Basilica, the Colosseum and Milan Cathedral.

This case-study program explores a country with great contrasts set in a desert. Dubai and Abu Dhabi entail a mix of ancient and contemporary architecture juxtaposed positioned together. We get behind the scenes into this global hub, famous for its many architectural icons such as the Burj Khalifa-the world’s tallest building, the Burj al Arab hotel set in the Arabian sea, the famous Sheikh Zayed Bridge by renowned Architect Zaha HADID, Capital Gate Building, among several others.
We visit some of the architectural firms in both cities, to understand the secret behind this country’s revolution and rapid infrastructural development. Students gain rich learning experiences that expand their outlook about their industry. We also learn more about the different construction techniques, software skills and design trends available.
